General Information

SGM2001 will take place at the splendid XIX century Rokosowo Castle near Leszno. Leszno is easily accessible by trains and busses from Warszawa, Wrocaw and Poznań. The Rokosowo Castle provides a lecture hall, hotel rooms and a restaurant. Housing and meals costs are included in the Conference registration fee. The Meeting language is English. All abstracts will be refereed during the Conference and will be published in the SGM2001 Proceedings.


Papers

The papers presented at the Conference will be published in one or two issues of "Materials Science". Please, bring the manuscripts to the Conference site or send it to the Conference Secretary (ed@int.pan.wroc.pl) before 31.07.2001. A Guide for Authors is accessible from this page. Use, please, the after accteptance electronic manuscript version, i.e. transmit the manuscript via e-mail or on diskette(s) or CD-ROM and one hardcopy of the manuscript send via surface mail.

Scope

SGM2001 is an interdisciplinary meeting aimed as a platform for information exchange between practically and theoretically oriented scientists interested in materials obtained by the sol-gel technique. Researchers in chemistry, physics, materials and live sciences involved in design, synthesis, evaluation and applications of sol-gel materials will have a choice of the following subjects covered by the Conference:

    chemistry of silicate and non-silicate sol-gels technology
    doped sol-gel materials
    biomaterials
    optoelectronic and laser applications
    sensors
    spectroscopy and electrochemistry
    nanomaterials
    environmental aspects


Scientific Program

The scientific program of the Conference will consist of the invited plenary and contributed lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions.
